Others arrive with a creative direction already in place and need us to bring it beautifully into stationery and the details of the event. And for some, one of our established collections provides exactly the right place to begin.

01. Visual Identity & Creative Direction
For celebrations still defining their visual point of view.
We work alongside you, your planner, and your event designer or floral artist from the earliest creative stages to develop the visual language of the celebration—from color, typography, and artwork to patterns, materials, and the details that can carry naturally throughout the event.
Best for: Full-scale celebrations seeking a cohesive visual identity from the beginning.
02. Custom Stationery, Signage & Guest Experience Design
For celebrations with a creative direction already in place.
We translate an established event vision into completely custom stationery and event details, developing each piece specifically for the celebration while ensuring it feels at home within the larger creative environment.
Best for: Clients, planners, and event designers seeking original stationery and event details without requiring full visual identity development.
03. Semi-Custom Collections
For celebrations that find their starting point within our existing work.
Our semi-custom collections begin with an established design and allow for thoughtful personalization through selected papers, colors, typography, and finishing details. The result is a more streamlined design experience without sacrificing material, craftsmanship or point of view.
Best for: Clients who love an existing design aesthetic and prefer a more streamlined process.
The Investment
AN INVESTMENT AS INDIVIDUAL AS THE WORK.
No two Max & Maiden projects are structured exactly alike. Investment is determined by the level of creative development, scope of the celebration, quantities, materials, production methods, and the details we are asked to create.
The starting investments below are intended to provide a sense of where our work begins.
Following an initial conversation, we prepare a proposal specific to your celebration.

Visual Identity & Creative Direction
For celebrations that bring Max & Maiden into the creative process from the beginning. These engagements may encompass visual identity development, save-the-date, invitation suite, digital experiences, event branding and
guest-facing details.
Creative direction and identity development are quoted separately within each proposal.
FULL-SCALE ENGAGEMENTS BEGIN
AT $20,000 plus
option two
Custom Stationery, Signage & Guest Experience
Completely original stationery and event details created within your celebration's established creative direction.
Most custom engagements include multiple stationery moments and may extend beyond the invitation into the celebration itself. Final investment is determined by scope, quantity, materials, and production.
Starting Investment $10,000 plus
option three
Semi-Custom
An established design personalized through selected papers, colors, typography, and finishing details.
Starting Investment $5,000 plus
Production, fabrication, postage, shipping, and other outside services may be quoted separately depending on the scope of the project.

Our process is collaborative by design. We work closely with our clients, planners and creative partners to understand what already exists, determine what still needs to be developed, and carry the creative direction through every element entrusted to our studio.

Discover & Define
Every project begins with listening.
We begin by understanding the celebration—its setting, atmosphere, creative direction and the experience you want to create. At this time we establish where and how our studio can best contribute.
We define the direction forward.
From those conversations, we define the scope of our work and the visual approach that will guide it. For full visual identity engagements, this is where the creative language begins to take shape. For other projects, we determine how our work will live naturally within the larger celebration.

Create & Refine
The ideas become tangible.
Artwork, typography, color, paper, materials and finishing details begin to take form through collaboration with our designers, artists and creative partners. Each element is developed with the larger experience in mind.
Every detail earns its place.
Through presentation, feedback and careful editing, we refine the work until each element feels resolved. This is where proportion, material, color, production method and the smallest details are considered before anything moves forward.

Produce & Complete
Craftsmanship brings the work to life.
Once designs are approved, we oversee production with our trusted printers, artisans and fabrication partners—managing specifications, proofing, materials and the details required to execute the work beautifully.
From finished stationery to the elements created for the celebration itself, we manage our work through completion—ensuring that what began as an idea arrives exactly as it was intended.

Before we Begin
When should we begin working with Max & Maiden?
For full visual identity engagements, earlier is always better. We often begin working alongside planners and clients while the creative direction of the celebration is still taking shape. Custom stationery projects should typically begin well in advance of the desired mailing date, while semi-custom collections offer a more streamlined timeline.
If you're unsure whether it's too early to reach out, it probably isn't.
Do we need a wedding planner to work with you?
Yes. Max & Maiden works exclusively with celebrations supported by a professional wedding or event planner.
Our work is highly collaborative and often intersects with many aspects of the larger celebration. Working alongside a planner allows our studio to remain focused on the creative direction, design and production entrusted to us while ensuring that timelines, logistics and the broader event experience remain thoughtfully coordinated.
We consider the planner an essential part of the creative team and one of our most important partners throughout the process.
Can we hire Max & Maiden for stationery if our planner has already developed the event design?
Absolutely. Full visual identity development is only one way to work with our studio. When the larger creative direction is already established, we can develop completely custom stationery and event details that feel naturally connected to it.
What determines the final investment?
Final investment is shaped by the scope of the project, quantities, materials, printing and production methods, embellishments, fabrication and the number of elements our studio is commissioned to create.
Following an initial conversation, we prepare a proposal specific to your celebration and the level of creative involvement it requires.
Do you offer on-site services and travel for events?
Yes. Max & Maiden offers on-site services for celebrations throughout the United States and internationally.
For projects requiring our presence, our team can travel to oversee the installation, styling and final execution of the elements entrusted to our studio. The level of on-site involvement is determined by the scope and complexity of each celebration and coordinated closely with the planner and creative team.
Travel, accommodations, shipping, installation and other event-specific expenses are quoted separately based on location and project requirements.
Do you accommodate rush projects?
When our production schedule allows, yes.
Select projects may be accommodated on an expedited timeline depending on the scope of work, production requirements and availability of our creative and production partners.
Rush services are subject to an additional fee and may require adjustments to materials, printing methods or finishing options in order to meet the requested timeline.
We will always be transparent about what can be accomplished beautifully within the time available.
How many events does your studio accept?
We intentionally maintain a limited event calendar in order to give each celebration the time and attention our work requires.
Our studio typically accepts up to four events per month, though capacity may be more limited depending on the scope, complexity and production requirements of the celebrations already on our calendar.
For larger visual identity engagements, destination celebrations and projects involving extensive event-day details or on-site installation, we may reserve significantly more of our calendar for a single event.
We encourage clients and planners to inquire as early as possible, particularly for peak-season and destination dates.
