About Max and Maiden Ink

MORE  THAN  TWO  DECADES
OF  EXPERIENCE.
ONE  STUDIO  BUILT  AROUND
THE  ART  OF  CELEBRATION.

Max & Maiden Ink is a creative studio developing the visual identity behind extraordinary celebrations. We work alongside clients and event planners from the earliest stages, translating a creative vision into a distinct visual language that can move naturally throughout the event.
Behind the work is a collective of designers, artists, printers and craftspeople, each bringing a specialized point of view and years of experience to the process.

Together, we create the artwork, typography, materials and details that connect the first impression to the celebration itself—giving every element a sense of belonging to something larger.

Meet Jennifer Mulholland

Founder & Creative Director

For more than twenty  years, Jennifer has built Max & Maiden Ink through an instinctive understanding of design,
an exacting eye for detail, and perhaps most importantly, an ability to understand people.

Her approach is deeply personal. She believes the best creative work begins with listening—understanding not only how a client wants a celebration to look, but how they want it to feel. It is within those early conversations, often before a single design decision has been made that Jennifer begins to recognize the ideas and details that will ultimately give an event its identity.

As Founder and Creative Director, Jennifer leads the creative vision of the studio while working closely with planners, clients, artists, designers and production partners throughout the process. Her role is to see the larger picture, bring together the right creative voices
and ensure that every decision remains connected to the original vision.

Relationships have always been at the heart of her work, these partnerships have been cultivated over years—relationships built on
trust, shared standards and a genuine love of creating something remarkable together.

Guiding Principals

Listen First

The best ideas rarely begin with design. They begin with understanding. We listen closely—to our clients, their planners and the creative team—before deciding what the work should become.

Find the point of view

Beautiful isn't specific enough. Every celebration should have a perspective entirely its own. We look for the idea, influence or unexpected detail that gives the work its direction and makes it unmistakably personal.

The whole matters

We consider every element in relation to the larger experience, allowing one visual language to move through a celebration without ever becoming predictable.

People before Process

Great work is rarely the product of one person. We collaborate with those whose particular talents can take an idea somewhere we couldn't take it alone.

Beauty needs restraint

We believe in knowing when to push an idea, when to refine it and when to leave something beautifully alone. Every detail should earn its place.

Kind words

~ Ashley & Ryan

“Max & Maiden understood the vision for our wedding before we even knew how to articulate it. They took the feeling we wanted to create and developed it into a complete visual identity that carried through every part of the weekend. From the invitations to the smallest details at the event, everything felt connected, intentional, and completely ours. It was so much more than stationery—they helped define how our celebration looked and felt.”

~ Kristine & Larry

"Jen is incredible. She’s very responsive, hands on, a great listener and her attention to details is on point! She met with us to understand our vision and she delivered amazing results. Everyone loved our invitations, day of Menus and thank you notes. I highly recommend her!"

~ Susanne & Rocco

"The invitations from Max and Maiden Ink were nothing short of exquisite. The details and the flawless design that Jen designed were far better than I could have dreamed on my own. My guests received their invitations in the mail and a few people said they felt like they needed "white gloves on to open such a beautiful piece of art!"
